No one really knows who the first white rapper was for sure but what we do know is the Beasty Boys were the first to have major label success in the mid 1980s. Even from there it took white rap a while to actually actually gain popularity. It wasn't really until lithe mid 90s that white rap started to take hold again. With such names as ICP, Vanilla Ice, Marky Mark and the funky bunch, and Everlast. Around 98 or so dr. Dre signed Marshall Mathers otherwise know as Eminem. This is when the white rap game started to cement its self into the rap community. Eminem opened the door for a lot of potential white rappers. After this there where many white rappers but not necessarily many who found major label success, we have southern white rapper Bubba Sparxxx who had the hit ms. new booty around 2005. After that we started seeing a more suburban view of white rap, such as Asher Roth with his single college and Mac Miller with songs such as Donald Trump and Loud. Then came more southern white rappers such as Rittz, Lil whet, Struggle Jennings, and Yelawolf. But it does not stop there, there are so many white rappers in the game nowadays. Some good some bad. All of them pour their heart into it somehow. Weather it be through being incredibly good at rapping, or wearing bright flashy clothing and being more of a novelty rapper such as LA's Riff Raff.
